A Phase Change Material stores or releases heat as it moves between solid and liquid. It is printed or coated on the skin side of a fabric to cool the body and improve comfort.
As the temperature rises it absorbs heat and melts; as the temperature falls it releases the stored heat. The print shows it working: a pattern appears when it is cool and fades when it is warm. It regulates temperature without removing or adding layers.
